Important Warranty Information for the Owner of this Notebook
The purchaser of the notebook:
1.
Must understand that the 1 year limited warranty supplied by the
manufacturer is valid only in the United States. The local manufacturers will
not handle warranty claims for notebooks purchased overseas (also known
as “grey imports”) as opposed to purchases made via authorized Australian
channels. Any hardware problems with the notebook should be
communicated to TECH AUSTRALIA.
2.
Must retain the original tax Invoice, boxes, documentation and packaging
materials during the entire warranty period. The warranty period is typically 12
months from date of purchase for most notebook computers.
3.
Understands that software malfunctions including operating system issues are
not covered by warranty
4.
Understands the battery and A/C adaptor are covered for manufacturing
defects for a period of six (6) months.
5.
Understands that any physical damage or failure deemed to be caused by
misuse and/or operating the product outside its parameters detailed in the
user guide is not covered by the warranty.
6.
Understands TECH AUSTRALIA takes no responsibility for data loss. We strongly
recommend that you maintain a back-up of your critical data. Loss of data is
likely to occur when making warranty claims with regard to hard drive failure.
Your Laptop will be repaired under the assumption that all data on your hard
drive will not be recoverable. Even where a machine is returned for matters
unrelated to your hard drive it should be noted that TECH AUSTRALIA can take no
responsibility for any loss of data whilst the machine is undergoing warranty
service.
7.
Understands TECH AUSTRALIA will pay all reasonable costs for pickup and return of
your notebook from any metropolitan area in any capital city in Australia.
8.
Understands the 12 month limited warranty covers all items outlined in the
warranty documentation supplied with the product.
9.
Understands that where a product needs to be shipped to a US service
centre turn around times may be as long as 6 weeks. Although most warranty
issues can be resolved in a matter of days there may be instances where
extended delays can occur which may be beyond our control.
